How cyber secure is your company?

Become a case company
– and strengthen the cyber security of your company

You can increase the level of cyber security and reduce the risk of cyber attacks in the company by identifying vulnerabilities in your supply chain and then pinpointing what is needed to address the vulnerabilities. This is precisely what the project ‘Cybersecurity and Business Continuity’ can help with if you participate as a case company.

On the one hand, IT has contributed to the efficiency of business processes in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), but on the other hand it has also created vulnerabilities to cyber attacks. The geopolitical development with many international conflicts is helping to further increase the risk of cyberattacks in the company from both states and cybercriminals.

SMEs typically have low cyber security due to limited financial and human resources and knowledge of IT. Hackers can e.g. exploit weak links in supply chains and attack via insecure systems at suppliers, the company itself may have weak systems or protection, employees’ internet behavior may pose a threat, etc. It is therefore also important to create awareness of cyber threats and IT security for all employees in a company.

Who can participate?

In the project, we will use 50 case companies that want to map their maturity within cyber security and business continuity, and who wants to work with it internally in the company.

As a participant, you must be a production company within the SME category (max 250 employees), and then you must be a supplier to – or have a relationship with either the defense industry or the IT and communication technology industry.

What is the price?

The project is supported by The Danish Industry Foundation, and therefore it’s free for your company to participate. However, you must be willing to spend time internally in the company on the task and the process.

Participant requirements

The case companies should be small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs with a maximum of 250 employees) within the production category, and they should be suppliers to either the defense industry or the IT and communication technology industry or related indutries.

Each company must set op a cross-functional team with participants ideally from:

  • Sales
  • Procurement
  • Production
  • Product development
  • IT
  • Finance

The cross-functional team must participate in the work with:

  1. A process model aimed at ensuring cross-organizational understanding of supply chains
Content: Supply chain mapping, Functional assessment of vulnerabilities and capabilities, Overall assessment of vulnerabilities and capabilities, and preparation of an action plan. See the process model here.
Duration: 2 working days spread over 4 half-days

    .

    Duration: 1 working day
Location: At the University of Southern Denmark, Odense

Outcome

  • Cross-organizational understanding of the company’s supply chains, their vulnerabilities and risks, and which capabilities need to be strengthened.
  • Understanding geopolitics and the risks it poses to companies’ supply chains.
  • Understanding cybersecurity and what it means for the company’s competitiveness.
